Cookies

ClipAd uses a small set of cookies so login, this choice, and (if you came from a Google ad) the click id work. Analytics and ads measurement stay off until you accept. Questions: info@axenta.io.

1. Essential cookies

These always run. They are required to operate the site.

• Clerk login cookies on .clipad.io — keep you signed in on clipad.io and app.clipad.io
• clipad_consent — stores Accept or Reject for one year, or until you change it
• clipad_gclid — Google ad click id, so a later trial can be matched to the ad. Set when you arrive from Google Ads. 90 days. Not sent to Google until you Accept
• clipad_ads_pending — short flag that a Checkout just started, so we can count one trial conversion when you return. Two hours

Stripe and Clerk may also set cookies on their own checkout or login pages. We do not control those pages.

2. Analytics and ads cookies

Off until you press Accept. Then we load PostHog (EU cloud) for page views, product events, frontend errors, and a masked session replay. Chat, uploads, generated ads, and billing fields are not recorded in replay.

If you Accept, we also load Google Tag Manager and Google Ads measurement (Consent Mode). That lets us count a started trial against the ad you clicked. Reject leaves PostHog and Google tags off. You can change this later from Cookie settings.

3. How to change your choice

• On clipad.io, use Cookie settings in the footer
• In the app, open the account menu and choose Cookies

That reopens the same banner on both hosts. You are not asked twice for the same choice.
